Yes kicked off their 2024 tour this week in Lisbon, Portugal. Calling it the Classic Tales of Yes Tour, the band is covering music from all corners of their career.
In a press release, keyboardist Geoff Downes said the trek would feature one of their “most interesting sets to date.” Yes is playing hits, as well as previously unheard music, along with songs from their latest album, Mirror to the Sky.
They played 13 songs on the first night out… starting with “Machine Messiah,” then ending with “Roundabout,” and “Star Trooper.” May not sound like a very long set, until you consider that the last two are collectively over 20 minutes live.
Yes will wrap this leg of the tour on June 4, at Royal Albert Hall in London, After that, they’ll head to America and tour with Deep Purple this summer.
